Affordably priced, the FC185-B has the chops to accomplish almost any compaction job. This machine features nearly 3,000 pounds of compaction force per square foot and 5,500 vibrations per minute, making it ideal for landscaping, sidewalks, patios, and trench prepping for retainer walls.
Powered by a 5 HP Briggs 4-stroke gas engine and equipped with a 21" x 20" base plate, this walk-behind compactor can easily compact soil and materials up to 12" deep and cover up to 4,800 square feet per hour.
The steel roll cage protects the engine and has a convenient hoist lift eye for easy loading onto a pickup truck bed for transport to and from the job site.
The FC185-B Forward Plate Compactor is the real workhorse of our line of forward compactors. Its rugged design can take on a variety of compaction projects and - when compared to renting - will pay for itself after just a few projects. The FC185-B is ideal for patios, sidewalks, and hardscape trenches.
